Welcome to some of the region’s best-kept secrets!
Natural Lands has 120 miles of carefully tended trails through fields, forests, and meadows. Our permanently protected nature preserves (and one public garden) stretch from the Pocono Mountains to the Delaware Bayshore. And it’s all open to you, free of charge.
Dogs are welcome at all our preserves. Always keep them leashed, and please bag and pack out their poo. Dogs are prohibited at Stoneleigh: a natural garden.
Trails are not paved.
Please wear sturdy footwear and expect uneven terrain.
Go before you go.
Most properties don’t have restrooms.
Bugs happen.
Stay on trails at all times to minimize the risk of ticks, and give yourself a thorough check when you get home. Bug repellent is recommended.
Pack it out.
We have 25 dedicated staff people who care for 23,000 acres of land. We need them doing important land stewardship work, not emptying trash cans, so please plan on packing out all your trash, including dog waste.
When to visit.
Our 19 featured preserves are open every day, sunrise to sunset. Stoneleigh: a natural garden is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM. All properties are free of charge.
