Crow’s Nest water levels

It’s the fourth day after we had 5.5″ rain and still the creek is high. That’s not the creek in the photo above, that’s our Creek Trail. It’s muddy and full of puddles and the water surface height is still very close to that of the creek itself. Knee high boots are not quite enough right now.

So, might we suggest our Fox Hill or Deep Woods Trails if you’re planning a visit? There’s no changing geography, and a trailside stream in the floodplain is occasionally going to be flooded. We’ll be doing some repair work to the treadway when it dries out so bear with us, it will be muddy for a while yet.
