Mariton: Third Quarter Precipitation

October 14, 2020

by Tim Burris, Preserve Manager

Mariton received almost 2 inches above average for the third quarter of 2020.  August was particularly wet thanks to Tropical Storm Isaias.  I recorded 5.0 inches for the storm, and 9.86 inches for the month.  September was particularly dry, and I recorded only 2.78 inches of rainfall for the month.

For 2020, we are still below average for precipitation.  The average for this point in the year is 40.71”.  We have received 36.32” so far.  We aren’t that far below average, and we still have three months to go.
