Mariton: Mountain Laurel

The Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia) is now blooming at Mariton.  There isn’t a lot of Mountain Laurel at Mariton, but you can find some along the Chimney Rock Trail and scattered along other trails if you look.  In a few weeks the Rhododendrons (Rhodendron maximum) should be blooming.  There is a lot of this native Rhododendron at Mariton, and it should put on a good show this year.
