Mariton: Kayak Trip

Sunday morning’s Kayak Trip went off without a hitch.  (It had to be cancelled last month due to rain, and I was watching the forecast all week.)  We had a small group, and took a leisurely paddle in a protected part of the lake.  We saw several Great Blue Herons.  These birds, while more common than they used to be, are still regal looking as they glide over the water.  A Green Heron entertained us as it tip-toed across lily pads.  Turtles were perched on logs near the shore.  Fish were jumping and the living was easy.
