Mariton: Fall Can Be Outrageous too

I recently wrote about the subtlety of fall in our area with forests rich with diversity. That doesn’t mean there aren’t awesome colors in the woods. Each week (and even each day) as different tree species hit their peak those trees shine. Sometimes as groups, sometimes as individuals.
The Sassafras saplings in the fields are brilliant right now, but there are still patches of green-leaved sassafras that are yet to change.
