It’s official, the footbridge at Green Hills Preserve is finished! This links the original trails to the new Clarence Trail loop and opens up the northern half of the preserve to hikers. Many visitors have been using it as it came close to completion but now it is all done. I refer to it as the Monet’s Garden bridge and it makes a very special space out of the shady glade where is located.

The project was designed and built by volunteer Jim Moffett, pictured on the left above (photo by Jamey Hutchinson). I helped over the course of 5 or 6 weekends since March, but the genius and skill is all Jim’s.

Feel free to sit down there and dangle your feet in the air when you cross!
