Crow’s Nest: Schuylkill Acts & Impacts
By Daniel Barringer, Preserve Manager.
This past week the students from Schuylkill Acts and Impacts spent two nights camping at Crow’s Nest traveling on their way downstream through the Schuylkill River watershed. We had campfires in the evenings, talking about land stewardship and careers, and they also toured some of the preserve to see these projects in action.
Schuylkill Acts and Impacts is a project of the Schuylkill Headwaters Association, the Fairmount Waterworks, and the Stroud Water Research Center, and participants come from every county in the river’s watershed. We are always pleased to see this group and encourage students to apply for next year’s trip!
