Crow’s Nest: New bench!

At long last we have replaced the bench at the top of the meadow on Fox Hill overlooking the Northside Road part of the preserve. Intern Alec Moloznik sourced a slab of oak which he mounted on posts he embedded in the ground.

This is actually the third bench to occupy this spot over the last 20+ years, the earlier ones eventually having rotted away. This is a good spot to turn around and enjoy the view if you’ve just climbed the trail through the meadow, or pause if you’ve just come out of the Deep Woods before you descend into the valley.
