Crow’s Nest: Flood waters

We had a massive amount of rain this week, so it is not surprising that the whole French Creek valley has flooded. Peak levels are just now being reached downstream on the Schuylkill River. Visitors to Crow’s Nest Preserve should be aware that the Creek Trail is flooded. I was able to walk it in knee-high Wellingtons, carrying our (small) dog. None of the footbridges have moved, and the gravel on the trail is still in place, but most visitors will instead want to hike our red (Deep Woods) trail on higher ground for another day or two.
