Welcome Crow’s Nest Interns!

June 7, 2011

We are pleased to welcome this summer’s interns to Crow’s Nest Preserve:

Meredith Mayer (center in photo) is returning this summer as an Educator at camp. She is a rising junior at Skidmore College who is studying Spanish and English and who will be spending a semester in Spain this fall. All of us at camp are happy that she has returned!

She is joined by Liz Bennett (left), a sophomore at University of Vermont who is studying Environmental Science. She has been involved in greening efforts at her high school and college as well as doing farm work and outreach for Willistown Conservation Trust. Her Education Internship at Crow’s Nest will help her fulfill the requirements of a learning contract for her coursework.

Kendra McMillan (right) has joined us as the Stewardship Intern. She is a Biology/Ecology major at West Chester University with a minor in Geographic Information Systems. She has been the Undergraduate Assistant Stewardship Manager at the Gordon Natural Area at the University and volunteered for conservation organizations (including Natural Lands Trust!).

If you see them working in the field or out with a group of campers please say hello. We are grateful for their assistance!
