Mariton: Night Walk

Mariton will host a night walk on Satuday, February 4, at 8:00 p.m.  We could hear either Great-horned Owls or Screech Owls, as I have been hearing both species recently.  We will walk along the trails in the dark, stopping occasionally to call owls and listen for responses.   You will want to bundle up for the weather, and wear sturdy walking shoes.  The moon should provide a fair amount of light for walking on the trails, but bring a flashlight.  While listening for owls is the highlight, there are other attractions.  Some people (me included) enjoy looking at the silhouettes of tree branches in the moonlight.  There are also the moon shadows.  If you plan to attend, please call and make a reservation.  The program is free.
