Mariton: It’s Started

Nesting activity has begun.  Last week, this box had some moss and I expected to find a Chickadee nest this week.  Instead, I found Bluebirds had almost completed a nest.

The nest above is almost complete.  It is probably a Chickadee nest (Chickadees have used this box before).  But I won’t know for sure until next week, as Tufted Titmice nests look very similar.

If you haven’t cleaned your nest boxes yet, you still have time – but you need to do it soon.
