At the end of camp, the families of the children come together for a potluck picnic, followed by an educational program.  Kathy Uhler of the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center brought several interesting animals.  Both the children and adults in attendance had a great time getting close views of snakes, turtles, owls, and even skunks (that are too young to have developed their scent glands).  Most importantly they learned how humans can help protect wildlife, so that animals don’t end up unnecessarily in Kathy’s care.

A Peregrine Falcon.

An albino Crow that was probably kicked out of the nest by its mother to protect the rest of her young from predators.
