Green Hills – Seeding wildflowers volunteer day
By Daniel Barringer, Preserve Manager
If you’re free this Saturday, join us to scatter wildflower seed in one of the meadows to augment the warm-season grasses I machine seeded there this week. We’ll plant clusters of native, locally hand-collected seed: bee balm, Joe-Pye weed, butterfly weed, and many others, to diversify the planting and establish food and habitat for pollinators.
We’ll meet at the grassy future parking area on Gunhart Road by our sign at 1 pm on Saturday. Hope to see you there!
