Green Hills: Seeding Complete!

After many days in the tractor seat Aubrey has finished seeding the almost 90 acres of farm fields to meadows at Green Hills. While I worked on projects around the preserve Aubrey drove the tractor and texted me when the seed hoppers got low. I then drove out to meet her with more seed. We struggled with many rainy days that interrupted the project, the largest restoration Natural Lands Trust has undertaken.

This summer these fields might look a little weedy as it takes some time for native warm-season grasses to become established. By next summer this vista, already a grand expanse, will be breathtaking.
