Outdoors Online: Managing Invasive Species

January 25, 2024 | 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Porcelain berry invasive species

When invasive plant species—like Japanese barberry, winged euonymus, and bush honeysuckle spread into natural areas, they impact the ecological health of the landscape by displacing native plants and the insects and other wildlife that rely on them. In some cases, invasive plants also negatively affect the agricultural, scenic, and recreational areas of a region as well.

Preserve Manager Dan Barringer will highlight invasive plant species commonly found growing in landscaped and natural areas, and how Natural Lands works to manage them.

Grab a hot drink, get cozy with a blanket, grab your laptop (or smartphone), and join the program via Zoom.
