Crow’s Nest Teen Naturalist Seminar receives visit from Peregrine Falcon

April 13, 2016

By Daniel Barringer, Preserve Manager

Teens doing in-depth study of birds this spring at Crow’s Nest Preserve were fortunate to meet ‘Luna,’ a 14-year old Peregrine falcon brought to the preserve to visit by falconer Mark Rose.

Mark covered a wide variety of subjects about the behavior, biology and care of these amazing birds, back from the brink of extinction. Luna watched us with an intense gaze.

We are grateful to Mark for sharing his expertise with us!
