Crow’s Nest: Force of Nature at work

February 12, 2013

This weekend the Natural Lands Trust Force of Nature volunteers came to Crow’s Nest to perform vine control in one of our hedgerows. While some areas can be cleared with a tractor and bush hog, there is no substitute for selectively controlling individual invasive shrubs and vines using a crew of trained volunteers with hand tools.

On a day which dawns at 16 degrees you might not expect many volunteers out. But Sunday warmed up quickly into a beautiful day and the Force of Nature is a hardy group. Many thanks for all their work.
