Crow’s Nest Camp week three
This week we had morning and afternoon sessions with first and second graders. Their programs are geared toward getting them comfortable in just one part of the outdoors at the preserve, the “remote campsite” at the wire bridge on Pine Creek.
We took a hayride to and from the play area. In between hayrides I did some land management while our expert camp staff and volunteers ran camp. There are trails that run from the wire bridge to the log bridge and the kids explored all of the area.
Depsite being in the 90’s every day the kids stayed cool in the “deep spot” on Pine Creek.
They also built a dam on the creek to raise the water a bit.
There was time to catch critters…
…and play on dry land.
We look forward to having these kids back in future years of camp!
