Virginia Creeper

Parthenocissus quinquefolia ‘Red Wall’

This Virginia Creeper may be called ‘Red Wall’ but the leaves also open with a beautiful bronze, then mature to a deep green before turning the stunning fire engine red. It needs no support and will cling to surfaces so plant near a wall, fence, or trellis and it will find it’s way.

Conditions: Full to part shade; average soil
Size: 40′ tall
Zone: 3 – 9
Wildlife Value: Host plant for 30 butterflies and moths; berries provide food for birds
