Variegated American Arborvitae

Thuja occidentalis ‘Snowstorm’

Where we live in southeast PA, the Arborvitae hedge is an ordinary sight in the landscape. However, ‘Snowstorm’ is anything but humdrum. The variegation on this selection is really like no other and deserves a prime spot in your garden. It is variegated all over and upon a closer look, some of the scales of the leaves themselves are individually variegated! This eye-catching evergreen is a new cultivar to the industry, so little is known about its mature form and size so use as a specimen or in an area with flexibility.

Conditions: Full sun to part shade; moist soil
Size: 6′ height, 3′ – 4′ spread after 10 years
Zone: 3 – 7
Wildlife Value: Provides food and cover for birds
