Eastern Redbud
Cercis canadensis ‘NC2015-12’ Golden Falls™
A relatively new cultivar from North Carolina State University, ‘Golden Falls’ is a cross between the ‘Covey’ and ‘Hearts of Gold’ varieties. The spring blooms are an elegant lavender-pink but the leaves are the true showstoppers. New foliage is tinged with gold and matures to a bright, brilliant yellow green. Its narrow, weeping form creates a glorious sense of drama and makes it perfect for tight spots.
