Steve Eisenhauer

Regional Director of Stewardship and Land Protection

Steve is the Regional Director for Natural Lands’ New Jersey preserves. One of his favorite activities is connecting school students with nature. He often takes students kayaking and teaches them the value of public land and water.

Prior to working for Natural Lands, Steve was Realty/Reclamation Specialist for Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources, Abandoned Coal Mine Division; Director of Stewardship for The Nature Conservancy in South Jersey; and Operations Manager for the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority’s Solid Waste Program.

His favorite animal is the box turtle, because “most of them are old, like me.”

Steve holds a B.A. from Indiana University, an M.A. in Natural Resources from Ball State University, and a graduate degree in Public Policy from Rutgers University.

Ask Steve about: freshwater mussels.
