Preserve Manager/Safety and Equipment Coordinator
Sean began his career with Natural Lands as an intern at our Crow’s Nest Preserve doing both land management and environmental education. From there he became a stewardship assistant where he had the pleasure of working at nearly every Natural Lands preserve. In 2013, he assumed the position of manager at our ChesLen Preserve and, in 2014, he assumed the role of safety and equipment coordinator.
Sean’s favorite aspect of the job is hosting school groups and leading interpretive hikes. “I love to share my knowledge of our lands with people of all ages, especially when they ask me about rocks.”
Prior to joining Natural Lands, Sean worked as a tree farmer, a lifeguard, an environmental education intern for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation of Natural Resources, and in park maintenance for Chester County.
Sean enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and travelling the world with his wife and three children.
