Robert Scott

Building Stewardship Assistant

Caring for land often includes caring for the many—many!—buildings on that land. A jack-of-many-trades, Bob is the newest member of a talented team of carpenters, masons, electricians, and craftspeople in our building stewardship department.

A resident of Chester County and graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, Bob is a regular visitor to our ChesLen Preserve with his dog, Ellie. At ChesLen, he says, “unintentional meditation comes naturally.”

Growing up, Bob loved to explore the woods and cornfield behind his childhood home… before development turned them into a cul-de-sac. “I was always hoping to find hidden structures (which sometimes happened) or buried treasure (which never happened),” he recalls.

Says Bob, “Though I don’t have a background in the trades, my interest in Natural Lands stems from love for the preserves and a desire to be a part of them.”

Ask Bob about: the vintage Gibson bass guitars.
