Preston Wilson

Preserve Manager/Agricultural Coordinator

Preston manages our Paunacussing and Diabase Farm Preserves in Bucks County. He’s been kept busy with several restoration projects over the last few years, including a pond-to-wetland conversion and planting trees to transform a retired farm field into woodlands. “Planting native species and saving the more established ones, watching them survive and grow, and getting to see the relationships that exist on an ecological level—it is a great part of my job.”

It’s a small wonder that Preston names the pretty purple flower of pickerelweed, a native perennial that thrives in wetlands, as his favorite.

Preston earned a B.S. in Forestry from Michigan Technological University. He is certified in commercial pesticide application and has multiple certifications in wildfire management and controlled burns.
