Lindsey is part of the team of horticulturists that make Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden such a special place to visit.
Lindsey’s previous career was in the food service industry, where she worked at some of Philadelphia’s most celebrated restaurants, including Zahav and Jean-Georges. During her down time, she developed an interest in environmental stewardship that soon became a full-blown passion, culminating in a decision to make a career change. She started volunteering for her township environmental advisory committee and at Stoneleigh. This led to a summer internship at our Crow’s Nest Preserve and, lucky for Natural Lands, validated her new path. She was the seasonal horticulturist at Stoneleigh before becoming full time in 2021.
Lindsey is a PA Master Naturalist and a PA Horticulture Society Tree Tender. She has her BS in interior design and architecture from Drexel University.
When not working, Lindsey uses her growing horticulture knowledge in her home gardens. In addition to gardening, she also enjoys birding and photography. She loves exploring deep forests. “They have this great ability to absorb sound so you can get away from the din of man-made noise.”
