Kelsey Boyd

Landscape Planning Project Manager I/Hopewell Big Woods Coordinator

Like several other staff members, Kelsey began her work at Natural Lands as an intern; her area of focus was the newly established Green Hills Preserve in Berks County. Kelsey’s role has expanded to include providing mapping and GIS support for the Conservation Services team, contracted stewardship/management plans, easement baselines, and establishing a preserve-wide database and protocol for our adaptive management stewardship practices.

Prior to working for Natural Lands, Kelsey spent two years with AmeriCorps in Cape Cod performing a range of natural resource management projects, including trail construction, vernal pool and stream monitoring, and wildlife monitoring. “I also taught environmental education lessons and recruited and coordinated volunteers.”

Not surprisingly, Kelsey’s favorite place to be in nature is “anywhere in or near water… it’s calming for me.”

Kelsey holds a B.A. in Geology and Policy Studies from Lafayette College.
