Josh Saltmer joined Natural Lands in 2015 as a Stewardship Assistant. In 2016, he was promoted to Bear Creek Preserve Manager.
He earned his BS in Resource Conservation from the University of Montana. As part of his studies, Josh conducted forestry research at an intensive two-week residence program in the Lubrecht Experimental Forest. Said Josh, “I also attended Wildlife in the West, a month-long course through Northwest Connections, where I learned plant ID, wildlife, and endangered species management, ecological interaction, and tracking… everything from lynx and bull trout to wolves and grizzlies!”
