Jarrod is preserve manager of our Stroud Preserve, one of our most popular preserves for visitors!
Jarrod’s family has lived at our Reineman Wildlife Sanctuary in Carlisle, PA, for two generations. He first started working for Natural Lands under his father, Lee, another of our preserve managers, when he was 16.
Jarrod says his favorite part of the job is working with volunteers and teaching them about land restoration and stewardship. He best enjoys time spent in the woods, where he feels both peaceful and humbled.
Jarrod earned a B.S. in Geo-Environmental Studies from Shippensburg University—where he threw javelin and discus for the track and field team—and is certified in Georaphic Information Systems.
