Conservation Easement Steward
Chris assists with Natural Lands’ annual easement monitoring program, maintains relationships with easement landowners, and reviews and tracks changes on properties under conservation easement with us.
Before he came to Natural Lands, Chris was a stewardship assistant with Riverfront North Partnership where he helped maintain an 11-mile greenway along the Delaware River in Philadelphia. Prior to that, Chris worked at a local engineering firm. Chris also has extensive knowledge of land management practices and restoration having held past positions with Stroud Water Research Center and Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust.
Sure, Chris needs a computer and other tools to do his job every day, but he believes a positive attitude is also essential. “It sounds like a cliché, but there is so much to be grateful for even on our hardest days.”
Chris has a BS in environmental geography and planning from Bloomsburg University. He is a certified arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture.
Ask Chris about: birds. “I’m a huge bird nerd, and always looking to learn more.”
