Director for Community Engagement
As Director of Urban Programs, Sang oversees Natural Lands’ efforts to connect people to the outdoors in Coatesville, Pottstown, Chester, and Norristown.
Growing up in the city, Sang enjoys nature all the more. Recalling a time from childhood when she went camping in the Pocono Mountains, she says, “It was the first time I became aware of the connection between me and the environment. The feeling of being in a vast open space outside of the city… it made me appreciate that I had access to pristine outdoors nearby.” She carries that appreciation with her on the job, and believes in the importance of connecting and improving parks and open space for all.
Prior to joining Natural Lands, Sang managed multifaceted programs in non-profits and institutions throughout diverse urban communities. Most recently, she coordinated an inclusive park and neighborhood improvement project in Philadelphia.
Sang received a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Lock Haven University.
