Tom Kershner

Regional Manager of Land Stewardship

After years as preserve manager for several of Natural Lands’ properties, including Gwynedd Preserve in Montgomery County, Tom was promoted to oversee about half our preserve system. In addition, Tom is our tree management coordinator and oversees our hazardous tree program.

Prior to joining Natural Lands, Tom worked as an arborist—a role he continues to fill at Natural Lands. His favorite native tree is the red oak. “They support a lot of wildlife and make for good woodworking.”

Tom holds an associate’s degree in forestry and is a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture.
