Jack Stefferud

Senior Advisor of Land Protection

As senior director of land protection, Jack identifies and consults with landowners who wish to preserve their property through conservation easement, donation, or sale. He is particularly adept at successfully orchestrating complex transactions involving multiple partners and funding sources.

Part of the Natural Lands family since 1988, Jack has served as farm manager, preserve manager, agricultural coordinator, regional manager, and assistant director of stewardship before turning his talents to land protection.

Prior to working at Natural Lands, Jack spent a year working as a logger in Massachusetts and a winter working as a lift operator in Park City, Utah. “I learned that it’s ok to explore uncharted territory because we can map our course as we go.”

Jack holds a Bachelor’s in agronomy and a Master’s in business administration.
