Crow’s Nest volunteer day recap

We had a great morning cutting vines on Wednesday. We worked on a hedgerow that has not had any management done to it in many years and so there were plenty of invasive plants displacing native blackhaw viburnum, spicebush, and young oak trees. It’s best to do this with many hands; volunteers selectively cut the nonnative bittersweet, honeysuckle, privet, autumn olive, multiflora rose, and winged euonymous.
