Beth Albright Joins Natural Lands Board of Trustees
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MEDIA, Pa., March 26, 2024 – Natural Lands announced today that Beth Albright has joined its Board of Trustees.
Ms. Albright is an experienced Fortune 500 Board Director and C-Suite executive with expertise in human capital management, strategic transformation, and executive development across public and private sectors. She is the founder and CEO of Saidia and currently serves as an independent consultant to various clients and corporations covering a broad range of strategic HR issues.
Ms. Albright began her involvement with Natural Lands when she and her husband, Scott Albright, established a donor advised fund at the Foundation for Delaware County. With their two young teenagers, the Albrights identified environmental causes as a priority for their family, along with animal welfare.
“We wanted our kids to be part of the decision-making process regarding our philanthropic focus, and we were aligned on what we care about most. As we explored specific charitable opportunities, the Foundation introduced us to Natural Lands as a strong organization doing impactful conservation work across the region,” Albright said. “Protecting open space is essential and continues to be the part of Natural Lands’ mission that energizes me the most. It was a privilege for Scott and me to have the chance to deepen our Natural Lands relationship even further when we joined their President’s Council in 2020.”
Mr. Albright will continue to serve on the President’s Council as Ms. Albright segues to the Board of Trustees.
Susan Mucciarone, chairperson of Natural Lands’ Board of Trustees, noted, “Beth brings deep expertise in human capital management and executive business leadership along with considerable board experience and enthusiasm for Natural Lands. She will add meaningfully to the organization’s strategic work and impact, and we are thrilled to welcome her as a trustee.”
Ms. Albright is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds an Advanced Executive HR certification from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. Through the years, she has consistently made significant contributions as a board member. She currently serves as an independent Director for Darling Ingredients (NYSE: DAR), where she sits on the compensation and audit committees. In the non-profit sector, she holds the position of President of Penn State’s School of Labor and Employment Relations Advisory Board and is a valued Board Director for the Philadelphia chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
Said Oliver Bass, president of Natural Lands, “Beth is grounded and guided by her strong community values—at family, organizational, county, and regional scales. Her passion for Natural Lands’ mission, considerable leadership experience, and easy ability to engage and inspire others make her an excellent addition to our board.”
