Volunteer – Care Day along Tacony Creek

Friends Hospital | Sun, January 27, 2019, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Natural Lands and Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership volunteers team-up for Care Day along Tacony Creek! We’ll remove trash and tackle invasive vines along the Tacony Creek, which flows behind Friends Hospital in northeast Philadelphia. A recent conservation easement, covering 49 acres, protects this beloved urban green space and allows public access to the 3.2-mile paved path, part of the expansive Circuit Trails network.

Afterwards, all are welcome to join expert birder Debbie Beer in a side trip to nearby Glen Foerd on the Delaware, to look for winter waterfowl on the Delaware River. Bundle-up and bring binoculars!

Lunch provided for all volunteers. Onsite parking and restrooms are available.
