Tricky Tree ID
Saunders Woods Preserve | Fri, August 10, 2018, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Bark, branches, and leaves all provide clues to tree species I.D. We’ll meander through Saunders Woods’ summer landscape and examine a variety of trees to learn tips for identifying commonly found species. Lace up sturdy boots and join Preserve Manager Luke Hamilton for this leisurely-paced woodland hike.
Saunders Woods Preserve is a natural oasis for wildlife and community residents in the heart of the Main Line. The Bridlewild Trail passes through the preserve and connects to a wider system of paths that wind through the community. A walk here reveals a lively forest habitat as well as an open meadow that is home to a variety of bird species.
