Supermoon and S’mores – SOLD OUT
Stroud Preserve | Sat, December 02, 2017, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Event is sold out. Check out our other events to plan your next adventure outside!
Experience December’s full supermoon like never before! The moon will be huge and bright, as it circles close to earth on its elliptical orbit. We’ll hike under an illuminated night sky, admiring deep shadows and stark silhouettes of Natural Lands’ Stroud Preserve.
After the hike, we’ll toast marshmallows over a crackling fire to make yummy s’mores, and sip hot beverages with new friends.
Stroud Preserve is a mosaic of once-pastured grasslands, working farmlands, and woodlands that serves as a unique site for recreation, education, and scientific research. Here, you can see the needs of people and nature in balance as careful stewardship of both cultivated and “wild” areas restores vital wildlife habitat while also protecting watersheds that provide drinking water for tens-of-thousands of people.
- Dress for the season and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
- Bring a flashlight, but use it sparingly.
Please leave your four-legged friends at home.
