Spontaneous Sledding and S’mores – SOLD OUT

ChesLen Preserve | Mon, January 22, 2018, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Event is Sold Out. If you have registered, you will receive an email with the ACTUAL EVENT DATE and TIME. We won’t know until after the snow flies, and it is safe for participants to attend.

When the snow starts falling we get a hankering to play! Don’t miss this special-access Spontaneous Sledding and S’mores event! Sledders of all ages will delight in a limited-time opportunity to sled down ChesLen’s snow-covered hills. After sledding, we’ll gather around a crackling fire to warm our fingers and toast marshmallows for s’mores.

Note that sledding is not permitted at Natural Lands’ preserves; permission will be granted only for this specific event at ChesLen Preserve. Register for the Spontaneous Sledding and S’mores event and we’ll email you when this special-access event will take place. Be ready to seize the moment when it happens!

ChesLen Preserve is the largest privately owned nature preserve open to the public in Chester County. Miles of marked hiking trails lead visitors through shady woodlands, flower-filled meadows, fields of corn and soybeans, and stream valleys.

Visitors can also explore Ollie Owl’s NaturePlayGround, where young explorers can climb logs, build stick tee-pees, hunt for bugs, explore small streams, and get a little dirty, tired, and inspired. Free play is encouraged and is a great way for kids to gain an appreciation for nature.

Natural Lands will send all registered participants an email with event details once date and time are determined. Event is subject to conditions and staffing, and may not necessarily coincide with the first significant snowfall.

Note that sledding is not permitted at Natural Lands’ preserves; permission will be granted only for this specific event at ChesLen Preserve.

  • Event check-in, sledding, and s’mores will be located at ChesLen’s Lenfest Center.
  • Bundle up and dress for winter-weather activity.
  • Bring your own sleds.
  • All sledding is at your own risk.
  • Friendly dogs are welcome but MUST be kept on a leash and are not permitted inside the Lenfest Center.
