The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden |
October 16, 2021 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm
We’re rescheduling for rain but the show will go on! The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will be performed on Sunday, October 17th at Stoneleigh: a natural garden.
Grab your blanket or lawn chair and settle in for this unique, open-air theater experience. Philadelphia master storyteller Josh Hitchens brings his interpretation of Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to Stoneleigh just in time for Halloween.
In the town of Sleepy Hollow, there are many tall tales of ghosts. The unforgettable legend of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman comes to life in a new adaptation with spellbinding storytelling to create an evening of thrills and chills for the entire family.

Neither glass containers nor pets are allowed in the garden. Please “leave no trace” and pack your own trash out. Sunset is at 6:20 pm.
Courtesies: Please remember to turn off all cell phones and other electronic devices prior to the performance. Photography and video recording of the performance is prohibited.

The property includes stately trees, winding pathways, and lush gardens that were designed by a number of notable landscape architects over the past century—including the Olmsted Brothers, sons of the famed Frederick Law Olmsted.
