ChesLen Preserve is the largest privately owned nature preserve open to the public in Chester County. Miles of marked hiking trails lead visitors through shady woodlands, flower-filled meadows, fields of corn and soybeans, and stream valleys.

Visitors can also explore Ollie Owl’s NaturePlayGround, where young explorers can climb logs, build stick tee-pees, hunt for bugs, explore small streams, and get a little dirty, tired, and inspired. Free play is encouraged and is a great way for kids to gain an appreciation for nature.

  • Wear sturdy shoes for exploring uneven terrain.
  • This activity is self-guided.
  • Please do not move or remove any of the clues or prizes. We’d like everyone to enjoy the quest!

Ollie Owl’s NaturePlayGround is located at 1199 Cannery Road, Coatesville, PA. Look for the arches on the left-hand side of the parking area to guide you down the trail to the NaturePlayGround.

Ollie Owl’s trail is not suitable for most strollers. Parking and restrooms are available a short walk away at the Lenfest Center.

Play at your own risk.

NaturePlayGround is closed during inclement weather and high winds.
