Walk on a Wintery Night

Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary | Sat, March 16, 2019, 7:30pm - 9:30pm

Bundle up and enjoy the beauty of Mariton by moonlight. The nearly full moon will light our way as we walk quiet trails and listen for rustling critters, hooting owls, and other nocturnal activity around the preserve.

Preserve Manager Tim Burris will share his vast knowledge of nature gleaned from years of stewarding the property. The whole family is welcome to this fun evening activity.

Mariton is perched on the steep slopes of Bougher Hill overlooking the scenic Delaware River. A highlight of the preserve’s trail system is the River Lookout Trail, with an overlook of both the Delaware Canal and the Delaware River 300 feet below.

Mariton’s Nature Center includes a library, meeting space, and ADA restrooms, and is open by prior arrangement.

We’ll let the moon light our way, but bring a small flashlight in case it is cloudy.

Dress for a cold evening and wear sturdy shoes for a quiet walk in the woods.

Please leave your four-legged friends at home.
