No-School Nature Play Day
ChesLen Preserve | Fri, February 16, 2018, 10:00am - 12:00pm
School is cool, but a no-school day means time to play! Come out to Ollie Owl’s NaturePlayGround for some wintertime fun. Enjoy yummy treats, and make crafts out of birdseed for feathered friends.
Weather conditions permitting, our Ollie Owl’s NaturePlayGround will be open, so please dress warmly. Event check-in, crafts, and light refreshments will be inside ChesLen Preserve’s Lenfest Center.
ChesLen Preserve is the largest privately owned nature preserve open to the public in Chester County. Miles of marked hiking trails lead visitors through shady woodlands, flower-filled meadows, fields of corn and soybeans, and stream valleys.
Visitors can also explore Ollie Owl’s NaturePlayGround, where young explorers can climb logs, build stick tee-pees, hunt for bugs, explore small streams, and get a little dirty, tired, and inspired. Free play is encouraged and is a great way for kids to gain an appreciation for nature.
Suitable for ages 4 – 10; but kids of all ages will find themselves having fun too!
Wear sturdy, well-insulated boots, especially if snow is on the ground.
Warm winter layers, hats, gloves, and scarves are recommended to keep warm and dry.
This is a drop-in event so please feel free to stay and play as little or long as you like.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please leave your four-legged friends at home.
Registration required to reserve your spot. Please complete and submit the secure, on-line registration form below, or call 610-353-5587 ext. 221.

Events may be cancelled due to inclement weather or low registration. In that case, we will make every effort to update our website and contact registrants. Note that we cannot offer refunds of paid registrations or ticket purchases, but rest assured that your donation will help us in our work to save open space, care for nature, and connect people to the outdoors.
