Migratory Bird Census

Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary | Sat, May 11, 2019, 7:30am - 12:00pm

Manager and expert birder Tim Burris guides this citizen-science effort to document birds annually at our Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary. Two decades of data reflects impressive avian diversity; birders find an average of 50 species each year.

Mariton includes a variety of habitats for thrushes, flycatchers, tanagers, and a dozen warbler species. The Migratory Bird Census offers great opportunity to hone observation skills, and learn more about the species that migrate through the region.
