Stroud Preserve | Sat, August 12, 2017, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Get muddy in the great outdoors! Come out and splash in a creek-side area devoted to getting dirty. Kids and adults are invited to play in the mud: make pies, roll around in it, cover yourself in it. Relax and enjoy an excuse to get as muddy as possible.
Stroud Preserve is a mosaic of once-pastured grasslands, working farmlands, and woodlands that serves as a unique site for recreation, education, and scientific research. Here, you can see the needs of people and nature in balance as careful stewardship of both cultivated and “wild” areas restores vital wildlife habitat while also protecting watersheds that provide drinking water for tens-of-thousands of people.
Dress to get muddy and wear shoes that can get wet (please no open-toed shoes). Bring an extra change of clothes and towels. Please leave your four-legged friends at home.
Event is free. Registration required. Please complete and submit the secure, on-line registration form below to let us know you are coming, or call 610-353-5587 ext. 221.
Events may be cancelled due to inclement weather or low registration. In that case, we will make every effort to update our website and contact registrants. Note that we cannot offer refunds of paid registrations or ticket purchases, but rest assured that your donation will help us in our work to save open space, care for nature, and connect people to the outdoors.
