Morning Wildlife Kayak Trip – SOLD OUT
Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary | Sat, September 16, 2017, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Event is SOLD OUT. Please join us for another fun fall event.
Join us for a quiet morning paddle on Giving Pond, a 90-acre lake within the Delaware Canal State Park. Formerly a sand and gravel quarry, the pond is now a haven for plants, fish, birds, and other wildlife.
Natural Lands staff member Tim Burris, preserve manager of Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary, will guide the trip and highlight interesting finds during the outing.
Mariton is perched on the steep slopes of Bougher Hill overlooking the scenic Delaware River. A highlight of the preserve’s trail system is the River Lookout Trail, with an overlook of both the Delaware Canal and the Delaware River 300 feet below.
Mariton’s Nature Center includes a library, meeting space, and ADA restrooms, and is open by prior arrangement.
Kayaks, paddles, and life vests provided.
Please leave your four-legged friends at home.
Event is SOLD OUT. Pre-registered participants can contact Tim Burris at 610-258-6574 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, if you have questions. $15 member. $30 non-members. Confirmed registrants will be sent the meeting location.
Events may be cancelled due to inclement weather or low registration. In that case, we will make every effort to update our website and contact registrants. Note that we cannot offer refunds of paid registrations or ticket purchases, but rest assured that your donation will help us in our work to save open space, care for nature, and connect people to the outdoors.
