Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden | Sat, December 08, 2018, 11:00am - 1:00pm
The gardens at Stoneleigh steal the show during warmer months, but in wintertime the warmth of the Main House beckons. During this exclusive holiday “open house,” explore the spectacular Tudor Revival style house that was the Haas family home for three generations.
Natural Lands’ staff and volunteers will be on hand to share the vibrant history of this grand, former Main Line estate. The halls will be decked with nature-inspired decorations, and offer a festive setting for hot cocoa and cookies.
As a special treat, some of your favorite holiday tunes will be played on the incredible vintage pipe organ recently installed at Stoneleigh.
For nearly 80 years, Stoneleigh was the home of the Haas family, which donated the property to Natural Lands in 2016 so that it would remain preserved forever.
The property includes stately trees, winding pathways, and lush gardens that were designed by a number of notable landscape architects over the past century—including the Olmsted Brothers, sons of the famed Frederick Law Olmsted.
- Enjoy the open house anytime between 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, but please plan to enter by 12:30 pm to make sure you have enough time to enjoy the house.

- Bring a camera to capture your favorite spaces.
- Sorry, dogs are not permitted at Stoneleigh.
