Hike, Wine, and Cheese
Stroud Preserve | Sat, September 29, 2018, 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Celebrate autumn’s arrival with a meandering hike to a panoramic ridge. We’ll relax over local wines and cheeses while the sun sets over Stroud Preserve. Afterwards, consider having dinner in the nearby Village of Marshallton.
Note: Use the 449 LUCKY HILL ROAD PRIVATE ENTRANCE to Stroud Preserve, and follow signs to the parking area behind the barn.
Stroud Preserve is a mosaic of once-pastured grasslands, working farmlands, and woodlands that serves as a unique site for recreation, education, and scientific research. Here, you can see the needs of people and nature in balance as careful stewardship of both cultivated and “wild” areas restores vital wildlife habitat while also protecting watersheds that provide drinking water for tens-of-thousands of people.
